Plans for a vibrant new leisure quarter to transform Glasgow's waterfront are being considered by Glasgow City Council. The stunning £10 million Broomielaw Quay project is a joint venture between the Council and Capella Developments.
Once completed, the 32,000sq ft pavilion-style development will feature up to nine restaurant, bar and cafe units, creating a continental-style experience on the north bank of the Clyde in the IFSD. The new leisure quarter is expected to create up to 150 new jobs.
Planning application submitted May 2011. Construction is expected to commence in early 2012, with the development open for business in spring 2013.
Broomielaw Quay has been designed by architects GD Lodge, King Sturge is marketing the development, Cushman & Wakefield is arranging the funding package and Conran Design is providing the branding.
