The site is located within the city centre and lies just outwith the Central Conservation Area. It is bounded by Sauchiehall Street to the south, Hope Street to the west and Renfrew Street to the north.

The proposed development is inclusive of the demolition of the north eastern portion of the building and the construction of a new 31 storey tower, comprising a 221 bedroom hotel and 12,700 sq m of office accommodation. Boutique restaurants will also be incorporated. The existing Savoy Office Tower will be fully refurbished and upgraded and two additional floors of office accommodation will be added. The remaining shopping centre will be fully refurbished and the elevation onto Renfrew Street remodelled.
